What is an Egg Drop Sandwich?

A famous Korean egg drop sandwich filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, ham or bacon, and cheese is an egg drop sandwich. It’s served between thick slices of buttered toast with a sweet egg drop sauce on the side.

They’re called egg drop sandwiches because they’re named after Egg Drop (에그드랍), the famed Korean sandwich store that started the whole thing.

If you’re a fan of Korean dramas, you’ll recognize Egg Drop from shows like Hospital Playlist, where Ik Jun (Jo Jung Suk) bonds with his son, Uju (Kim Jun), over Egg Drop’s egg sandwiches.
