Rizal Province is known for its delightful mountains, adventure places and comforting resorts or falls. One of the provinces that has a lot to offer for tourists, for every Juan. When you decide to go to Rizal, surely you will never get disappointed and no time wasted – let’s check out these five outdoor activities that you can do in Rizal.
- PARAGLIDING
Are you familiar with this one? If not, then you must. Paragliding is an extreme sport of flying a modified designed parachute which will hold a person from jumping an aircraft or a hill.

Thrilling, right? It can be horrifying at first or even when you just see it in pictures but once you try it, you’ll enjoy the view and the experience assuredly. It’s like you’ll feel what the birds see from the sky, the touchy-feely of the air on your skin, the people watching on the ground and somehow freedom from all the stress you encounter. It’s a journey without traffic.

Paragliding can be done either solo or with a partner. According to the research, it is a very safe activity as long as you are learning with a good instructor. It also depends on the weather, of course. And to make it safer, the authorities have security measures to ensure that all the loopholes are filled.

Experience and face your fear with this flying adventure that can be found in Binangonan, Rizal – as it is one of the famous paragliding places in the Philippines.

2. HIKING
An outdoor activity that requires long walks for you to be able to see the end of it. Tiring? Yes. But once you reach the top, it will all fade away, you’ll eventually say “it was all worth it!”
Another thing is, you get exercised while seeing the beauty of nature on the way. Many people are now doing hikings together with their friends or family. It is an activity that you’ll constantly look for once you’ve done it and you get used to it. Now, here are the two hike trails that you’d like to go to and good for the beginners.
A. Mt. Daraitan

A mountain that is greener and less-crowded but a must visit and best enjoyed with barkadas. Along the way, there would be a guide even though the paths are well-maintained, this is just an additional safety for everyone. And of course, the guide will tell you information and facts about the Mountain.
But then, the mountain is muddy and somehow slippery so you must wear a comfortable runner for this one, probably not a white one.
This kind of journey can be dangerous because of the sharp rocks and you might fall on it but that’s what the local guide is for, too. But really, this could also be one of the greatest memories that you can have, or even the first of many.

When you reach the top, you’ll find its famous heart peak where you can rest for a while and take some instagrammable pictures. Just by the looks of it, there would be an instant ‘wow’ factor.

Do you want your first hike to be a blast? Try Mt. Daraitan – a beginner friendly mountain. There are hike organizers on Facebook. They tour and offer local packages and other activities as well. Have your fun!

Another hiking trail which people love. This is where you get to see the famous ‘Noah’s Ark’. Many also choose this mountain as their first Mountain to hike because aside from its overlooking view, the sea of clouds appears here too.

What else? You’ll also see the majestic view of Sierra Madre Mountain Range which can be very refreshing and fascinating at the same time and just like the other mountains, of course there is a greener area for Mt. Kulis.

While walking, you can take a short break and take pictures on their hanging bridge with nature as your background.

There is also this activity you and your friends can enjoy – the spider web. When you get there, take a pose and smile! Or even do your own creative shot, just like this one.

One of the reasons why is because they believe that by doing this, it relieves them from stress and escape from reality. They want to experience a simple life even for just a short period of time. Below is one of the coolest campsites in Rizal.

5. SWIMMING
When we hear the word ‘swimming’ the first thing that we think of is resort or a pool. As it is way more easy to book and go to when we want to swim. But this time, it is a fall entry. Fresh water, more relaxing and bigger than the swimming pool.
Daranak Falls

A famous destination for locals and tourists from in and outside of the country especially when it is summer time. We can’t deny how clear the clean water is that makes it more attractive as always. Daranak falls is perfect for a warm day where you can also do picnics and just have a great time with your family, or even friends.
It’s a place where you can unwind, rest, enjoy and nothing else. All you hear is the falling of water, birds chirping, and laughs while having nature all for yourself. Just the thought of it makes me want to go there as soon as possible.
